Image of Unesco's World Heritage site of Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu, Nepal. This is the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu where open human cremation is carried out on a daily basis. It is believed that to die and to be cremated here will release one from the cycle of repeated birth and death. The present temple was built by King Bhupalendra Malla in 1653 but a previous temple dates back to the fifth century. (EDITORIAL USE ONLY)
